Early in the morning and after a coffee and cookies snack, a naturalist guide and specialist in bird watching will take you around the Chicanná Ecovillage grounds for you to enjoy the many different species of birds than you may watch there. There is a record of 122 bird species already seen of the more 350 of the record in the Calakmul area. Among others we could watch Turquoise Browed Moot-moot, Yucatan Oriol, Keel-billed Toucan, Yucatan Jay, Golden-fronted Woodpecker, Yellow-lored Parrot and many others. You will also walk along an inner path where your naturalist guide will show you the many species of trees, orchids, butterflies and maybe some mammals that we find in this area, explaining the meaning of this ecosystem.
