Located 80 kilometers from Merida, Uxmal is a jewel of Prehispanic Architecture. According to archaeological investigation, Uxmal is one of the great metropolis of the Mayan World. One of its most important structures is the Dwarfs Pyramid, thrice built. The Nun´s Quadrangle, the Ball Court and the Governor´s Palace are also some of the more developed structures.
In combination with Uxmal, one may also visit Kabah. Which has it’s unique Puuc style architecture. Each element is linked with man and the universe. According to recent investigations Kabah was inhabited in 250 B.C. and was connected with Uxmal by a stone road. Kabah has two groups of buildings; the Codz Pop, decorated with 250 masks of the Rain god Chaac and the Palace, with dozen platforms and altars.
After the guided tour, lunch is served at a local restaurant and then we will return to your hotel in Mérida.
