After breakfast at your hotel, we will depart toward the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, a World Heritage site. In the language of the Mayans Sian Ka’an means “Origin of the Sky”. This 1.3 million acre reserve is home to forests, wetlands, a coral reef system and more than two dozen Mayan archaeological sites. There we will visit the Muyil archaeological site, and walking trough a “sac-beh” (Mayan word for white path) and the Canan-Ha wood path we will reach Muyil Lagoon, where we will take a boat for a ride trough this and the Chunyaxche lagoons to reach a man made canal system, where we will float pushed by the gentle stream toward the sea, after that we will get on the boat again for the ride back toward our departing point. On our way back to Tulum we will stop at colorfull and lesser known “cenote” (subterranean river) where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us. After a dive at the warm “cenote” waters we will return at your hotel.
