Day 1, Arrival at Cancun, Akumal

MAYA NATURE wellcomes you at Cancún International Airport (CUN). Upon arrival one of our drivers will transfer you at your hotel in Akumal for check in and overnight. Lunch and Dinner on your own

Day 2, Akumal

Today, the Akumal Dive Shop offers a 2 hour deep sea fishing trip, maximun 4 people, includes all equipment and refreshments. Troll along the Caribbean coast in our canopied panga among Sailfish, Dorado, Mackerel, King Fish, Barracuda, Yellow Fin Tuna, Marlin, and many others. Master Fisherman Freddie and his assistant will clean your catch and any of the local restaurants will be happy to prepare it for you. April through July are the best fishing months, guaranteeing great catches. Includes: Boat, capitan and crew, soft drinks, snacks, fishing gear & Baits. 31" to 38" Fishing Boats. The captain and his experienced crew begin each trip with a briefing and take the boat out of the Puerto Aventuras marina. Once the boat is out of the marina, we put the lines in the water. When a fish bites, you can do as much or as little as you want. The very experienced crew is here to help you. When you are done, the crew can make filets and pack your fish to take home. Half Day Trips: Morning (9:00am to 1:00pm) & Afternoon (1:30pm to 5:00pm).

Day 3, Akumal

Day 4, Bacalar, Konhunlich, Chicanna

After breakfast one of our drivers will transfer you to the Seven Colors Lagoon of Bacalar, where you may have a dip at the deep “Cenote Azul”  and enjoy a delicious lunch at the near by restaurant afterwars we are going to admire the beautiful giant stucco masks of the magnificent Peten style Kohunlich archaeological site. At the end of this visit we´ll follow our route bound for Chicanna Ecovillage Resort for overnight. Lunch and Dinner on your own. B

Day 5, Calakmul, Balamku

Very early in the morning we will depart provided with a box breakfast, bound to the Calakmul archaeological site, also a World Heritage site. Set deep in the tropical forest of the Tierras Bajas, a Biosphere Reserve, this important Mayan archaeological site played a key role for more than twelve centuries. Calakmul’s outstanding examples of Mayan art provide a testament to the city’s advanced political and spiritual development. After this visit we will procede to Balamku, a site where we find a spectacular modeling stucco façade with policromy, dated at the end of the Early Classic period among 550 to 650 A.D. This frieze is considered one of the most beautiful artistic expressions in the Mayan low lands. Then we will return to Chicanna Ecovillage for overnight. Lunch and Dinner on your own. B

Day 6, Becan, Chicanna

Before breakfast, we will have the opportunity of a bird watching tour on the Chicanna Ecovillage grounds. Among others we could watch Turquoise Browed Moot-moot, Yucatan Oriol, Keel-billed Toucan, Yucatan Jay, Golden-fronted Woodpecker, Yellow-lored Parrot and many others. After breakfast you will be guided to a walking tour by an internal path (2 km) to Becan, a regional capital that was surrounded by a moat, unique in the Mayan area, and that flourished between years 600 and 1000 of our era. We´ll return to our hotel for lunch. In the afternoon we will visit Chicanna archaeological site, just across the road from our hotel (600 mt walk). Its name means “The House of the Snake Mouth”, and is thought to be part of the great city that was Becan. It owes its name to the façade of structure II, which is richly decorated with an enormous snake mask that symbolizes the sacred mountain. Overnight at Chicanna Ecovillage Resort. Day 7, Tulum

After breakfast and check out at your hotel, we will start our transfer trip to Hotel Los Lirios inTulum, for overnight, where we will arrive in time for lunch. Rest of the day at the beach. Lunch and Dinner on your own. B

Day 8, Departure

After breakfast,at Los Lirios hotel we’ll pick you up at your for transfer to the Cancun International Airport (CUN) in order to board your flight back home. B.
